Barbara Kelderhouse, 88, of Lombard, died at Beacon Hill Retirement Center in Lombard, IL.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 27 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Lombard Bible Church, 111 S. Park Ave, Lombard. A memorial service will follow immediately, followed by interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.

Mrs. Kelderhouse is survived by her children, Susan (Dave) Gillan, Judith (Glenn) Syrstad, and Jim (Lisa) Kelderhouse; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband George, and one brother.

Mrs. Kelderhouse was a resident of Lombard since 1955. She was an active member of Lombard Bible Church, serving as a nursery worker, Pioneer Girl leader, and a deaconess. She prepared countless meals for visitors and missionaries to her home. She loved to play volleyball, garden, make crafts, quilt, and show hospitality to everyone she met. She worked for a few brief years as a switchboard operator but enjoyed homemaking more.
