Corrine "Cookie" Santa Albergo nee Stramaglia, age 90, of Lombard, passed away July 8 at Bella Terra-Lexington.
Corrine was the loving wife of the late Sebastian A.; loving mother of Ron A. (Joanne) Albergo of Darien, Anna Marie (Paul H.) Bergl of Bloomingdale; fond grandmother of Annette (Drew Schnell) Albergo of California, Ron S. (Maria) of Woodridge, Dr. Paul A. (Kate) Bergl of Wisconsin, Vanessa (Brandon) Romanoff of Darien and Vincent Bergl of Elmhurst; great-grandmother of 10; sister of Michael F. (Judy) Stramaglia of Florida; and aunt of Peter (Joan) Stramaglia of Florida.
Corrine had been resident of Lombard for 14 years and prior to that had lived in Oak Brook for 20 years. She grew up in Chicago and then was a long-time resident of Elmwood Park. Corrine was a retired department store manager.
Corrine had been a member of Christ the King Church for the past 14 years. She had previously attended Ascension Catholic Church in Oakbrook Terrace and St. Vincent Ferrer in River Forest. She was a long-time promoter of St. Jude.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 15 with a Visitation from 8:30 AM until the time of Funeral Prayers at 9:30 AM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, thence to 10:00 AM Mass at Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.
