Obituary

Craig Maxey, 60, of Glendale Heights, formerly Glen Ellyn, passed away on May 25th, 2022.

He was the loving husband of the late Barbara Maxey; beloved father of Jessica (Michael) Brillion and Laura Maxey; dear son of Gayle (John Halbert) Maxey and the late David Maxey; fond brother of Steve (Adam Hart) Maxey; much beloved partner of Diana Hennig, and relative and friend to many.

Craig was a graduate of Glenbard West Class of 1979. He had the pleasure of coaching his daughters in soccer for many years in Lombard.

He was a social butterfly, spending his Wednesdays out bowling with his friends and enjoying a good social gathering. Craig will be remembered as a huge football fan, cheering on the Steelers and the Bears and forever rooting against the Packers.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 31, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard, after which friends are invited to join the family at Two Hound Red Brewing Company in Glen Ellyn to share more memories and stories.  Additional parking will be available at Lombard Bible Church and First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate, Attn: Memorial/Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 are appreciated.
