Dorothy Ley, 90, of Lombard, peacefully passed away on November 8. Dorothy was born on December 22, 1928 to Albert and Helen Wickham in Chicago. She graduated from McKinley high school in 1946.
After graduation, she worked in several jobs over the decades, including being a key punch operator and computer tape librarian. Her favorite job was her last one, being a receptionist for a credit union. She was there for 24 years. She retired when she was 88 years old.
She met her spouse John when they were kids in the same neighborhood and they wed in 1948, going on to have two children, John and Mark.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents and sister, Dolores. She is survived by her husband John, sons John and Mark, sister Valerie, daughters in law Karen and Janet, grandchildren Brett and Michael, step grandchildren Lisa and Jessica, great grandchild Tyler and step great grandchildren Michael, Ethan, and Jaxson.
