Obituary

George H. Nason, age 86, of Lombard, died on October 28, 2021.

Beloved husband of the late Arlene nee Richine, loving father of Debra (the late Don) Bacon and Cheryl (Don) Kavanagh. Grandfather of Jacquie (David) Wolf of Yorkville, Danielle Bacon of Naperville, Kelly (Brian) Thomas of Chicago, and David (Jaryn) Bacon of Lombard. Great-grandfather of seven. Dear brother of Nancy (Dick) Wells of Kansas. Fond uncle of Carol Dykman of Kansas and Bill Wells of California. Dear friend of Judy Decker. Many other relatives and dear friends.

George grew up in N. Riverside. He graduated from Purdue University.

George was the CEO of Schweppe & Sons, Inc., Lombard from 1985 until his retirement in 1997. He worked at Sunbeam, Wilson Sporting Goods, FDP Food Service and of JVM Realty in Oakbrook. He retired in 2014 as Vice President of Investor Relations. He was a member of the Lombard Business Men’s Association.

George loved golf and ballroom dancing. He volunteered at PADS and Love Christian Clearinghouse. He was a member of First Church of Lombard.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at First Church of Lombard, 220 S Main St, Lombard, IL 60148. Funeral Services will follow at 3:30 PM.
