Jim Horne passed away January 9, 2021, at the age of 71. He was born March 27, 1949, in Kenosha, WI, and was a longtime resident of Lombard, IL.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pam (née Omtvedt), his daughters Kristi (Nick) Grace and Brenda Horne (Brian Turnquist), and grandchildren Jimmy and Sophie Grace. He was a beloved brother and brother-in-law and uncle and great uncle to many.
Jim had a larger than life personality and kept things lively wherever he went. He worked as a computer hardware engineer for over 40 years. He loved to “tinker” and could fix or build almost anything. He enjoyed all kinds of music and was a member of the choir at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard.
His greatest love was his family and he will be terribly missed.
There will be a memorial service at Holy Trinity on Saturday, January 16, for family members only due to COVID-19. Friends may view the service later that day on Holy Trinity Lutheran’s YouTube channel: https://www.YouTube.com/channel/UCerUgz-J-SyFc1tJbe-ozrA.
