Julie Ann Newman (53) transitioned to heaven September 21, 2022, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL. She was born August 20, 1969, at Kewanee Hospital. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Katie (Shannon) and James Regnier, Sr of Watseka, IL and her father and stepmother James and Ann Newman of Fayetteville, AR. Julie is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother: Missy (Sean) Hanes of Houston, TX, Amy (Keith) Biegelmann of Aurora, IL, James (Sherry) Regnier, Jr of Clifton, IL, and Jo Etta (Corey) Minard of Watseka, IL.  She is survived by two aunts, Michael (Jimmie) Nims and Judy (late Bob) Pree both of Gilman, IL. An aunt, Maureen Shannon, preceded her in death.

Julie’s life was brightened by visits from 7 nieces, Britney (Dustin) Schroeder, Katie (Ryan Long) Ashline and Maegan (Justin Nichols) Ashline all of Watseka, IL, Casey (Lance Honn) Minard of Kentland, IN, Kaitlyn (Colton Ritchie) Biegelmann of Madison, WI, Delaney (Joe) Evelo of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jayden Regnier of Centralia, IL.

A celebration of Julie’s life is being planned. Julie enjoyed a variety of music and loved being in nature. A favorite activity was the annual camping trip she took with her housemates at Marklund.
