Marion D. Hampton, nee Smith, age 88, of Lombard, died on November 3, 2021 at her home.
Marion was the loving wife of the late William A. Hampton; loving mother of Rodney (Linda M. Neel-Hampton) of Sheridan and Cynthia (David) Kerr of Cherry Valley; grandmother of Jason Neel, Heather (Kenny Reed) Kerr, Jessica (Scott) Bilderback and Dillon Hampton; great-grandmother of 7; dear sister of Mae (the late Robert) Korpan-Campagnolo; and Aunt and Great Aunt to many.
Marion graduated from Oak Park High School. She had been resident of Lombard for 61 years and had lived in Poplar Grove for the last 4 years.
Marion was a clerk at Montgomery Wards before retiring after 30 years.
Marion had been active at Faith United Methodist in Lombard, serving as a Sunday School teacher. She most recently attended Cherry Valley United Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
Funeral Services Wednesday, November 10 with Marion Lying-In-State at 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at Faith United Methodist Church, 815 South Finley Road, Lombard. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace.
