Natividad “Naty” Gaden, 70 years old of Lombard IL formerly the Philippines, died on June 13, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of Russell Gaden for 37 years; devoted mother of Jessica (John) McAndrew and Patrick “Bob” (Allison) Gaden; loving “Nanay” to Alexander and Zachary; sister to Ben who preceded in death, as well as Fred, Leticia, Ofelia, Edgar, Purification, and Jose Jr. Naty was the cherished daughter of the late Jose and Cayetana Guzman and a loving aunt, relative, and friend to so many.
Naty was born and raised in Pampanga, Philippines. She was a long-time parishioner of Christ the King Church and member of the Santo Niño Prayer Group. She loved cooking and sharing her one-of-a-kind cuisine with all her family and friends, always preparing much more than needed – her hospitableness shining. She could regularly be found gardening and enjoyed passing time with Russell outside in their yard. She always looked forward to annual trips to Michigan for apple picking. She was a talented crocheter and enjoyed passing hours watching soap operas or listening to her favorite music such as Elvis Presley, Victor Wood, and the Beatles to name a few. Her natural humor and selfless, caring nature made her an incredible friend and confidant to all who knew her.
