Obituary

Richard (Rick) Anthony Martinez, age 70, passed away peacefully in his home on February 4, 2021. He was born on January 12, 1951 and was a longtime resident of Lombard, IL.

Rick is survived by his children Christopher (Kiara) Martinez of Chicago, IL, and Alyson Martinez of Peoria, IL; as well as by his brother Joseph (Eva) Martinez of Lynchburg, VA and his former wife Carol Manny of Peoria, IL. Rick is also survived by his pride and joy, Rufus, his golden retriever. Rick was a beloved brother and brother-in-law, as well as uncle and cousin to many.

Rick built a life based on hard work, determination, and love for his family. He was an engineer by trade but had many hobbies. Although he had retired, he loved to work on home improvement projects and could fix or build almost anything. He also had a love for music, enjoyed playing the guitar, and loved to draw.  Above all though, his greatest love was his family and his dog. He will be missed terribly.
